When you have anxiety that creeps up on you daily, sometimes you just need to find a way to relax. Relaxation is different for everyone, but when the outside force of the world around you creates stress it can take a toll on you without notice. Here are some of my most useful stress management and relaxation techniques that have helped me.
1. Take a Detox Bath
Our bodies create toxins when we are stressed a detox bath won’t fix the cause of stress or toxins, but it will help reduce the physical stress that your body might be feeling. There are so many detox bath recipes on the internet that can assist you with better sleep and mental relaxation. My favorite detox bath is a combination of Epsom salts and 20 drops of lavender oil. Lavender promotes a natural calm. I honestly have it everywhere in my home since I like to remain as quiet peaceful as I can throughout the day.
2. Drink Some Herbal Tea
As I have spoken about in many of my past post I live a breath the holistic lifestyle. Teas are derived from herbs and when used correctly, can have a powerful effect on the body. To promote a natural calming force for anxiety, try some Kava tea, or chamomile. It will instantly unwind you a promote relaxation.
3. Journaling writes it down and lets it go
I use to never believe that if you just wrote down how you were feeling that is would relieve your stress. Lately, I’ve been keeping a regular journal and find that it is very helpful in working through emotional stress. It reminds me so much of my meditation practice; I leave it in the past when I close my journal. What else can I say journaling get things off my mind? I have noticed when I write it down before bed I can relax and sleep more comfortably.
Meditation is one of the most useful ways to relax the slow inhales and exhales helps to clear your mind of all the clutter. At the same time, it is centering you and promoting positivity around you. Don’t tell me you can’t meditate you don’t have the time or a place. I meditate everywhere, my bedroom, office while taking a bath even while my other half is driving.
